Testing Framework

 
The Spencer Valley School District has adopted the California Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 Testing Framework for K-12 Schools for the 2022-23 School Year as it is updated based on current scientific knowledge and anticipated trends to meet the requirements of SB 1479.

Please refer to the San Diego County Office of Education Decision Trees (English | Spanish) for details and connect with your school office staff regarding your return to school.

For testing, the District follows the Testing Framework for K–12 Schools for the 2022–2023 School Year (ca.gov).

To Get Over-The-Counter (Home) Tests:

The District provides free at-home COVID test kits for students and staff members, subject to availability of supplies, as follows:

  • Students – Test kits may be picked up at the school office. For long break periods, test kits may be distributed by the school to all families prior to the start of the break period.
  • Staff – Test kits may be obtained from the school office.
